A CogniSight engine can use one or multiple experts

• An expert recognizes a family of objects based on a type of signature (which can be invariant, or not, to scale and orientation)
• An expert builds a knowledge by learning examples (in supervised or unsupervised mode) with a certain level of conservatism or liberalism
• Remark: Several experts can recognize the same family of objects but using different signatures (example: shape, texture, color, edges, etc)

• Multiple experts can be used to classify the contents of an image, looking for different types of obects in related or  unrelated areas 

CogniSight is a Decision maker

• Tells the experts where to look and the level of details to report
• Makes a final decision based on the response of the experts (looking at the same or different objects, in a same or different locations)
• Consult new experts if needed to make a better decision, build hypotheses,etc.
